Swiss precision on two wheels. On offer is a rare 1947 Condor courier bicycle from the famed Velofahren cycle corps (1891-2001). Few of these early post-war models exist in the United States. This MO-05 Ordonnanzrad Fahrrad Militarvelo is mostly original. It has been gone through and cleaned, but still possesses great patina for display. For the intrepid rider, the Condor excels as a unique and durable commuter or utility bicycle. Road-feel is smooth, balanced and assured, like a fine Swiss timepiece. Condors are known for their heft, yet this single-speed begs the rider to load up with groceries or pack for an extended trek through the countryside.

Features: three braking methods (1945 rear drum, front plunger, pedal-operated rear coaster), rear number plate (5001-series, ‘blockhouse guard service’), bakelite handlebar grips, air pump (fahrradpumpe by Ajax), coil sprung leather racing-type saddle (Spendierte), frame-matching tool kit in leather pouch, tires (Maloya), fork-mounted DC dynamo for lights (non-functional), front and rear lights (Adax-Katzenauge), leather front mudguard, brass bell, rear wheel lock and extra heavy-duty rear rack with late model Wald steel folding basket panniers added to increase carrying capacity.
