Introducing an excellent Raleigh lady’s roadster that has been mechanically refurbished. This 3-speed bicycle is ready-to-ride and will easily offer another 30 years of stylish, reliable service.
Features: 18″ (seat tube to crank centerline) lady’s step-through frame, 26″ rims with new tires, original three-speed gear hub (Sturmey Archer S3C, March 1976), two braking methods (front side-pull, pedal-operated rear coaster), other original components- ‘North Road’ handlebars, ‘Raleigh’-stamped grips, mattress seat, decals and front medallion, fenders, chain guard and trigger shifter. Available with a galvanized steel wire front basket.
Restoration: all parts were removed, inspected, cleaned or replaced, and reassembled: wheels straightened, spokes tightened, new bearings (headset, bottom bracket), gear hub serviced and lubed, pedal bearings lubed, frame rust treated, and new tires installed. Mechanically excellent, however paint has been visibly touched up by a previous owner. Rust is not at all a problem on this bicycle, and chrome is polished with limited pitting confined to rims.
